A denim jacket by Roebucks, a western brand under SEARS. Produced in the 1950s and 60s, it is a classic denim jacket from the 1950s and 60s, but I suspect the one shown here is from the 1950s.
As mentioned above, the slanted front pocket is eye-catching. It is a unique design that is not found in other brands.
pleets
The front is double pleated and simply fastened with a single stitch.
Pockets cut at an angle. Simple construction with cloth applied and sewn from the back.
front button
"ROEBUCKS" is stamped on it and it is a snap button.
zipper
Zippers attached to pockets. Engraved with rhombus-shaped knobs.
side adjuster
Adjusters on both sides. The tips are slightly tapered.
cuff
The tip of the sleeves is fastened with a cannula. The button is still a snap button.
fabric
The tone of the fading suggests it's bat-dye denim, but the areas that haven't faded have a strong blue tint, like indigo. There is not much of a slubby feel to it, and there is very little nepping.
