It is one of the brands in the MONTGOMERY WARD store brand Powr House (not "POWER") denim jacket. Denim jacket with two pockets like Levi's 2nd type. It comes with a blanket and has an adjuster at the end of the sleeves as well as at the waist. It appears to be a specification that was highly conscious of winter protection. The design of the tag suggests that it may have been made in the 1950s.
The front is zippered. The front zipper is not only a design issue, but it seems that they had to consider the thermal protection here as well.
