LEE 101-LJ STORM RIDER(1970s)

The LEE 101LJ is probably the best known and most popular denim jacket with a lining. Many of Lee's winter jackets have a "STORM RIDER" tag on them. The 101 LJ in particular is often referred to as "STORM RIDER". The 101 LJ is more sizeable than the description. In addition to often making it feel large, the smaller size is rarely available, but I finally found one that is I remember wearing it.

As it was made in the 1970s, it does not yet have hand warmers. You can clearly see the wide width of the body.
LEE_101LJ_back
The horizontal stretching around the middle of the back is a flaw in the weave.
LEE_101LJ_tag

tag

Familiar embroidered tags. "UNION MADE IN U.S.A." underneath the lot number and size.
LEE_101LJ_tab

tab

Tab on left breast pocket. "M.R." and "○R" on it.
LEE_101LJ_button

button

"Lee RIDERS" stamped button. This button is still attached straight up, but the one from this era has the top and bottom engraving upside down. Some parts are buttoned up in state.
LEE_101LJ_union ticket

union ticket

A union ticket is attached to the left breast pocket.
LEE_131J_cuff

cuff

"Lee RIDERS" buttons. Reinforced by a bar tack.
LEE_131J_side adjuster

side adjuster

Black cat eye button side adjuster. Unfortunately, the inner buttons have come off.
LEE_131J_lining

lining

Blanket lining with horizontal stripes. Some of the old linings have hardened hairs and feel prickly when worn over innerwear. But when it comes to the lining of this era, it's also more comfortable to the touch.
LEE_131J_fabric

fabric

The fabric has a typical Leigh vertical fall and pale blue color. The photo shows the weave scratches on the back. Few Levi's of the same era seem to have this level of scratches on the back. This is also typical of Lee.
