This is a youth model of the zippered version of the 501XX, one after the transition from a leather patch to a paper patch. The red tab is a double-sided tab with both sides printed on it, and the patch is a paper patch with "EVERY GARMENT GUARANTEED" printed on it, and although it was manufactured around 1955-63, it was probably manufactured not long after the shift to paper patches in 1955, since it has a "★" instead of a flasher ○R, and the guarantee ticket is made of oiled cloth instead of paper.
