Levi's 501 made in December 1987 in the Valencia factory, with a Japanese tag for export to Japan, but not washed and glued. The cannecks have already been changed from black to white.
paper patch
A paper patch with both tear-off tags and care stamps omitted. Although it looks hardened, it has actually softened and does not appear to be susceptible to cracking after washing.
flasher, guarantee ticket
Flasher changed to "501" instead of "LeVi's". Copyright is 1984. A guarantee ticket was also stapled to a flasher. The year on a guaranty ticket is "FOR OVER 135 YEARS". Interestingly, it is not coated paper, but oiled cloth (or paper that looks like it) material.
内タグ
The last two lines, "555....127", indicate that it was made in December 1987 at the 555 plant (Valencia).
back pocket
A back pocket with a near-square shape and a shallow angle of architeit stitching found on those of the 80s.
bar tack
The ones made in February 1982, for example, had a cannula stopper that was black "XC" in color, but this one has a white cannula.
top button (back)
"555" engraving. Parallel stitching next to the top button, but the stitching color is dark blue instead of orange. Chain stitching above the waist belt.
coin pocket (back)
Chain stitching on the back of the coin pocket. Since the fabric is vertical, the selvedge does not stick out.
outseam
Locked with white thread and split at the sides. The hem seems to be original, but is sewn in single stitch.
